Main Camp - Monday 14th April

@ Holyhead Leisure Centre 

 

Our Easter Main Camp is inclusive for all abilities in Year 7-13 (boys and girls). This camp is tailored for players who want the opportunity to receive additional training outside their club environment.

What to Expect:

  • Advanced Training: Engage in high-intensity drills, complex game strategies, and in-depth skill development sessions led by Sion Parry and other top coaches.

  • Prizes: We will give out Swish represent T shirts for players - MVP & MIP for different age groups.  

Camp Details:

  • Limited Spots: Only 60 players. First come, first served—secure your spot quickly!

  • Dates: Monday 14th April (12-4pm).

  • Training Groups:

    • U12/U14 Mixed (Year 7-9)

    • Girls Only U14-U18

    • U16/U18 Boys (Year 10-13)

Vertical Jump - Monday 14th April 

9:30-11:30am

Our Vertical Jump Camp is an additional session before the Main Camp. It is for Year 9-13 (boys and girls). This programme will be tailored for players and the previous experience of jump training. There will be options for players at Level 1 (Foundation/Beginner) or Level 2 (Loaded / Reactive). See the Swish Vertical Jump training levels below.  

What are the levels to Swish Vertical Jump training 

  • Foundational Phase (Preparation) - Level 1a

    • Focus on mobility, stability, and body control.

    • Low-impact movements like ankle hops, pogo jumps, and jump rope.

    • Emphasis on landing mechanics and absorbing force safely.

  • Beginner (Basic) Plyometrics - Level 1b

    • Introduces low-intensity jumps and hops.

    • Exercises like box jumps, squat jumps, and low hurdle hops.

    • Emphasis on controlled landings and coordination.

  • Intermediate (Loaded / Reactive) Plyometrics - Level 2

    • Higher force absorption and quicker ground contacts.

    • Exercises like depth jumps, bounding, lateral hops, and single-leg variations.

    • Focus on improving stretch-shortening cycle efficiency.

  • Advanced (Explosive / Max Effort) Plyometrics - Level 3 

    • High-intensity, sport-specific drills.

    • Exercises like shock jumps, depth jumps from higher platforms, and complex multi-directional jumps.

    • Short ground contact times and maximum power output.

  • Elite (Sport-Specific / Complex) Plyometrics Level 4 

    • Incorporates resistance (weighted vests, bands, sleds) and unpredictable movement patterns.

    • Used for peak performance in competition settings.

Camp Details:

  • Training Groups:

    • Year 9 - 13 Level 1 (Foundation / Beginner)

    • Year 9 - 13 Level 2 (Loaded / Reactive)

Junior Camp - Tuesday 15th April 

10-1pm

@ Holyhead Leisure Centre 

 

Our Easter Junior Camp, on Tuesday 15th April is inclusive for all abilities for Year 2-8 (boys and girls). This camp is tailored for players who want the opportunity to play basketball for the first time and for experienced players wanting to receive additional training outside their club environment.

What to Expect:

  • Drills: Engage in fun drills that are differentiated to match players ability levels. 

  • Games: Opportunity to play games in the correct age groups. Mixture of 3 v 3, 4 v 4 and 5 v 5.  

  • Prizes: We will give out Swish represent T shirts for players - MVP & MIP for different age groups.  

Camp Details:

  • Limited Spots: Only 60 players. First come, first served—secure your spot quickly!

  • Dates: Tuesday 15th April (10-1pm) 

  • Training Groups:

    • U6/8s (Year 2 - 4)

    • U8/11s (Year 4 - 6)

    • U11/13s (Year 6-8)
